Process/Explorations
I began by exploring shapes and motifs from Chhattisgarhi tribal culture, aiming to create a visual language that resonates with people—something they recognize as part of their environment and identity, fostering a sense of inclusivity and belonging.
Chattisgarh is a state it one of thee largest trible population, and holds more then 43 recognized Scheduled Tribes with amazing culture and heritage.

For the mascot design, I explored several ideas, including the state's national animals, which are deeply connected to its identity and culture, as well as traditional facial mask art unique to Chhattisgarh.

A tribal boy shoots an arrow at a rabbit, and as the arrow flies, it turns into a sports arrow hitting a target. That target becomes a bicycle tire rolling, with a kid running beside it. The kid then turns into a hockey player hitting a ball, and that ball turns into a fruit that someone jumps to catch. It’s a journey showing how everyday movements and local play slowly become real sports — all connected to the spirit and life of Chhattisgarh.

While exploring tribal motifs, I was reminded of a tribal family that lived near my childhood home in Harda. I remembered how every man and woman had some form of Godna (traditional tattoo) on their bodieseach mark deeply rooted in their identity. This memory sparked my curiosity, leading me to research more about Godna and study its forms closely as a visual expression of belonging and heritage.
